IVO CAREW ARCHITECTS

Ivo Carew Architects is a London-based RIBA Chartered Practice. The practice is involved in a broad range of projects and welcomes new challenges. Previously Ivo Carew Architects has worked on private housing, multi-unit housing, offices, commercial spaces and arts sector projects. A number of conservation-led projects, including works to numerous listed buildings have also been undertaken.

Projects are informed by a sensitive approach to place and material. A rigorous design-led process is demanded of each project where historic, spatial and contextual qualities are explored in close dialogue with clients. This design approach is about creating buildings that are both pragmatic and poetic. Architecture that positively transforms the lived experience.

IVO CAREW
director

Ivo Carew (DipArch, MSc, RIBA) founded Ivo Carew Architects in 2017. His passion for architecture extends from the development of early conceptual ideas, through to the pragmatic construction of buildings on site. Ivo is actively involved in all projects in the studio and leads the creative direction of the practice.

Ivo studied architecture at London Metropolitan University and at the Architectural Association. Prior to setting up ICA, Ivo worked at John Pawson’s internationally acclaimed architecture practice. Projects included Pawson’s own house in the Cotswolds, a residential development attached to the Design Museum and a contemporary art gallery.
